Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Harmony for All, Inc. Scholarship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Age: Applicants must be between 10 and 18 years old.
  2. Residency: Must be a resident of the United States.
  3. Instrument: Must play a musical instrument. Priority is given to students who demonstrate significant talent and dedication.
  4. Financial Need: Demonstrated financial need is a key criterion. Applicants must provide documentation to support their financial situation.
  5. Academic Standing: Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 or equivalent in their current school or educational program.

Application Requirements

Applicants are required to submit the following materials:

  1. Completed Application Form: Available on our website.
  2. Personal Statement: A 500-word essay describing the applicant’s musical journey, goals, and how the scholarship will help them achieve their dreams.
  3. Recommendation Letters: Two letters of recommendation from music teachers, instructors, or mentors who can attest to the applicant’s musical abilities and commitment.
  4. Financial Documents: Recent tax returns or other proof of household income to demonstrate financial need.
  5. Academic Transcript: Latest transcript or report card showing academic performance.
  6. Audition Video: A video recording (5-10 minutes) showcasing the applicant’s musical talent. The video should include:

Selection Process

  1. Initial Review: Applications are reviewed for completeness and eligibility.
  2. Evaluation: The selection committee, consisting of professional musicians and educators, evaluates the applications based on musical talent, financial need, and personal statement.
  3. Interviews: Shortlisted candidates may be invited for a virtual interview to discuss their application further.
  4. Final Selection: Recipients are chosen based on the overall strength of their application and the impact the scholarship will have on their musical education.
